The Agriculture Research in Balochistan was Initiated in 1891 with the major subject of Plant Protection.

Ascertaining the problem of grower's relation to the crop production and conveying them to the research wing for attention.
Organizing fruit & vegetable shows, exhibitions, and meals,
Demonstrating new varieties and techniques by laying out by demonstrations plots,
Multiplying foundation seed from the nucleus seed for further distribution progressive growers through the Punjab seed corporation,
The increasing birth of nursery plants of fruits at government nurseries for categorizing to growers,
Support of Crop Reporting Services (CRS) in managing surveys, data collection, and helping farmers in taking healing measures against pest attacks.
